Commercial Leader - Exciting Opportunity with GE in Asia

Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Commercial Leader for Asia to drive the strategic direction and commercial success of our business across the Asia region. In this pivotal role, you will be overseeing and ensuring compliance with risk processes, leading the commercial team, and supporting sales and execution teams for revenue maximization.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure overall compliance with Policy 5.0 risk processes through periodic audits
  • Maintain Risk Passport and Delegation of Authority Power Conversion Asia
  • Manage risk process from R1 to OTR handoff
  • Identify technical and commercial risks, promote mitigation strategies, and assure informed leadership decisions
  • Provide detailed information for external transaction risks to facilitate decision making
  • Lead the final phase of the risk process for a smooth transition from ITO to OTR
  • Facilitate Deal Strategy Reviews and provide expertise in overall risk management strategy
  • Identify key opportunities for risk assessment tools application and conduct analyses for deal risk profile monitoring
  • Support Contracts management in Industry Project Management
  • Manage commercial and contractual aspects of projects for goal achievement
  • Coordinate with project teams to improve margin and handle contractual issues
  • Negotiate claims with partners, insurers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Maintain commercial relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors/vendors
  • Collaborate in risk and opportunities quantification and mitigation
  • Minimize exposure to risk and claims while maximizing opportunities and performance
  • Provide guidance on contractual issues and report on business exposure and claims
  • Share best practices and lessons learned on commercial issues
  • Promote Compliance function through participation in reviews and trainings
  • Report on Compliance Key Performance Indicators

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum 8 years of professional work experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Data Engineering, or Technology Process Management

Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum 12 years of professional work experience in related fields
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems, lead programs/projects, and document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills
