THE OPPORTUNITY

Position Overview:
Basic Functions & Responsibilities
The Commercial Finance COE provides Global and Regional Decision Making, FP&A and Transactional support to the Commercial Finance Organization.

Part of the regional support group we are looking for an
_Associate Director, APJ Decision Support Lead._


This role provides a unique opportunity to work across Asia Pacific & Japan countries closely working with key stakeholders both at Regional and Corporate level as well as providing financial insight and analytics to support key business decisions.

The APJ Decision Support Lead acts as a key contact between the Commercial Finance COE, the APJ Finance Leadership and the FP&A teams supporting markets/clusters.


With an entrepreneurial mindset, he/she will be bringing a financial perspective into the overall strategic and tactical decision making while using smart tools and innovative processes.


Primary Activities:

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Primary Business & Decision Support for APJ region & markets including FP&A support for Budget, LROP and Forecasts.
  • Ability and opportunity to work across areas outside primary responsibility (eg Global / other regions)
  • Involved in the monthly closing activities, as well as analysis and reporting to senior management
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly estimates, collect / consolidate commentaries, and drive action on related variances
  • Support preparation of regular reporting ad hoc, Monthly, Quarterly, Forecast and Leadership Team presentation decks providing adequate drivers and quality explanations to support decision making.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and adhoc financial analyses as support for Operation reviews, forecasts, and other meetings
  • Regional Leadership support entailing headcount reviews
  • Manage HQ support for the APJ Region and other regional indirect HQ support as needed
  • Maintain effective relationships with other stakeholders (within and outside Commercial Finance COE) on multiple topics as required.
  • Closely coordinate with the local finance/FP&A teams the execution of any related tasks
  • Support on various ongoing projects
  • Continuously focus on process optimization and simplification, sponsor the implementation of various digital reporting solutions to reduce manual finance reporting work
  • Partner with the Central Support (CSS) team to effectively integrate them into the APJ business & decision support model

Background Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 57 years of Finance and/or FP&A experience at regional/global level
  • Strong technical and functional knowledge of Company financial planning and management reporting systems
  • Fluent in English (proficiency level), other local languages is a plus

  • Must possess strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills

Primary technical skills include but are not limited to:

  • BPC, SAP, FSA experience and strong Excel / PowerPoint skills
