Job Purpose:

  • To manage desktop team and to oversee the daytoday desktop operations.
  • To plan, manage and administrate Wintel server and relevant infra services in an enterprise systems environment.

Responsibilites:

Desktop Team Lead Role

  • Manage and rollout of EUC (computers) operating system's security & nonsecurity patches
  • Manage and rollout of hardening configuration to all EUC (computers)
  • Manage and keep track of tools use by team and bankwide users
  • Train and groom the desktop team to improve their technical and soft skills
Double hatting as Wintel engineer

  • Manage and rollout of servers Operating Systems' security & nonsecurity patches releases
  • Manage and execute hardenings on all wintel servers
  • Manage and closing of VAPT items for all servers
  • Provision of system resources to cater for business growth.
Business Performance and Management

  • System provisioning on VM server farms.
  • Support Wintel platform infra system services such as AD DC, DNS, DHCP & Print, File Servers, SFTP and Backup system.
  • Install, configure, maintain and performs health check on Windows servers running on physical sor virtualization servers.
  • Supervise backups, optimisation, initiation of recovery of system or data within the SLA windows.
  • Provide 2nd level support on related service request, issues and incidents.
  • Monitor systems availability, performance and resource capacity planning.
  • Maintain and develop technical documentation and standard operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security standards, policies and procedures.
  • Automate daily operational tasks to improve efficiency using tools or scripts
  • Perform regular housekeeping/maintenance activities on the supported IT infrastructure. Work with respective internal IT teams to support the Windows operating systems, security patches and coordinating with Various Apps teams for Apps related issues.
People Management

Requirements:

  • A recognized diploma or degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/System Administration or its equivalent.
  • At least 5 years working experience in Wintel system administration
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems from the Application tier, through the Operating System and Network tiers.
  • Possess vendor management skill to drive vendor in delivering solution to the technical issue encountered
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • A good team player that can work in a fastpaced and processmanagement environment.
  • Possess good analysis and troubleshooting skills. Committed to highest levels of professional and personal excellence.
