About the Company and the Role

iSEACO, a prominent ship owning and investment company established in Singapore in 1997, specializes in the container and drybulk market. With a fleet of over 20 ships, we are committed to providing reliable ships and management services to shipping lines and drybulk charters while embracing sustainable practices.

We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Commercial Associate/Executive to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with various departments to support iSEACO's goals and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct marketing research, collect relevant information, and prepare reports based on the marketing strategy for company projects.
  • Support the marketing department in daily activities such as tracking vessel charter hire, preparing debit notes, and managing telecommunication fees.
  • Maintain the company's database for container and bulk carrier fixtures, ensuring it is up to date with the latest information on chartering, newbuilding, snp, and demolitions.
  • Oversee post-fixture operations of the company's fleet, including managing charter party agreements and ensuring contract compliance.
  • Communicate with vessels, charterers, brokers, and customers to address operational issues promptly.
  • Assist in procuring and renewing fleet insurance and handle claims efficiently.
  • Support the department in various ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Hold a Diploma or higher qualification in Maritime Business or a related field.
  • Have 1-2 years of relevant experience in shipping marketing or commercial roles.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, a positive work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Be detail-oriented, responsible, and meticulous in your work.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is required as the role involves liaising with clients and partners in China.
