Human Resources:

1) Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various club departments, including coaching staff, administrative personnel, and support staff.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with club policies and procedures.
  • Implement performance management systems to assess employee performance, provide feedback, and support professional development initiatives.

2) Employee Relations and Compliance:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, including labor standards, workplace safety, and equal employment opportunity.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate employee records, including personnel files, payroll information, and benefits administration.

3) Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.
  • Facilitate leadership development initiatives, succession planning, and talent management strategies to build a highperforming team.

4) Performance Management:

  • Establish and implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on conducting effective performance evaluations and addressing performance issues.
  • Ensure performance management practices are fair, transparent, and aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

5) Employee Benefits and Compensation:

  • Design and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by providing comprehensive health and safety programs and initiatives.
  • Evaluate compensation structures and salary scales to ensure competitiveness and alignment with industry standards and organizational objectives.
  • Monitor employee compensation trends and conduct benchmarking studies to inform decisionmaking and maintain equity across the organization.

6) Conflict Resolution:

  • Mediate and resolve conflicts among employees, departments, or other stakeholders in a fair and impartial manner.
  • Identify underlying issues contributing to conflicts and develop strategies to address root causes and prevent future disputes.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment where diverse perspectives are respected and valued.

Finance:

1) Financial Planning and Budgeting:

  • Develop annual operating budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgetary targets, analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisionmaking and resource allocation.

2) Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage cash flow projections and liquidity planning to ensure the club maintains adequate funds for operational needs and strategic initiatives.
  • Implement cash management policies and procedures to optimize cash flow, minimize risk, and maximize returns on investments.
  • Coordinate with department heads to forecast cash requirements and plan for capital expenditures, debt servicing, and other financial obligations.

3) Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct financial analysis to assess the club's financial health, identify trends, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in financial reporting and disclosure.

4) Audit and Compliance:

  • Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, financial policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard club assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Address audit findings and recommendations, implementing corrective actions as necessary to improve financial processes and controls.

5) Contract Negotiation:

  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure favorable terms and maximize value for the club.
  • Review contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with club policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and department heads to finalize contract agreements and resolve any contractual disputes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certification preferred).
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in senior leadership roles in human resources and finance, preferably in the sports industry or a related field.
