Job Purpose
The Regional Segments Head for International CG+ reports into the Head of International Citigold and Citigold Private Client.

This role has responsibility for the client segmentation strategy and its execution for International CG+ across the region.

It encompasses driving qualified client growth through acquisition, upgrades, and retention; and is also the primary KPI owner of Net New Money as a key leading indicator of growth.

The role is responsible for defining and ensuring the consistency of the key Segments proposition across markets (Citigold and Citigold Private Client) and for client engagement and advocacy.

The incumbent will also lead Segments responsibilities for one of the Asia CGW markets.

The Segments Team


The Citigold International segment strategy is a well-developed tiered segment model with strong brand recognition and operations in 3 markets across the region (four businesses).

The Segments team is central to our strategy of extending our leadership as the wealth manager of choice across the whole continuum.


We manage ~150k qualified Citigold and CPC clients and are responsible for $11Bn in Net New Money on an annual basis.

We are executing on a strategy of doubling the number of qualified clients in five years with annual growth rates above 20%.

The regional Segments team is functionally aligned as described below.

  • Client Segment Proposition
  • Responsible for devising and delivering an engaging value proposition with tangible proof points across our target customer segments, as well as owners of the segment level P&L


Client Acquisition
  • Responsible for driving qualified NTB acquisition in our target client segments across all channels including a focus on growing digital acquisition share


Client Engagement
  • Responsible for delivering the Citigold / CPC brand consistently across the region, and for defining and implementing communication strategies across all target segments, including meaningful direct to client engagement via digital channels


Portfolio quality
  • Responsible for driving portfolio quality by ensuring we have the right client, in the right segment. This is delivered by growing, deepening and retaining our existing customers in our target customer segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting the strategic vision for the Citigold & Citigold Private Client International client franchise based on shifts taking place in market and ensuring buyin from global, regional, and country stakeholders
  • Delivering on ambitious growth targets to double the client franchise in a few years through new channels, superior insights, greater efficiencies; managing International CG+ P&L
  • Sponsoring large programs of work that transform the client experience and delivering ~810m of man/days in technology projects
  • Influencing senior stakeholders to allocate resources to deliver on strategic vision and performance goals
  • Talent management and development across region and country teams
  • Managing external relationships for CGW Asia, especially with consulting companies

Incumbent Specification

Knowledge/Experience/Technical skills

  • 15+ years of experience, including 10+ years' managerial experience
  • Strategic analysis/thought process
  • Ability to work with multiple organizations and stakeholders, including Senior Management
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute on the business vision
  • Credibility with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated relationship builder at multiple levels of the organization
  • Adept at managing within a highly matrix environment
  • Experience working with all levels of senior management
  • Experienced in managing a P&L business with extensive financial acumen
