Role Purpose

Remit focus is Rest of APAC (ANZ, SEA, Korea, Japan)

  • The role is key in ensuring smooth, efficient, and accurate delivery of HR processes across the employee lifecycle, liaising between employees, managers, HRBPs and central functions.
  • The role will be responsible for shaping, optimizing and delivering the talent acquisition agenda across the remit of the role.

  • Be an active part of the global HR community, work as one team, supporting each other to enable execution excellence to internal stakeholders

Strategic Role Responsibilities

  • Act as adviser to US based global HR functions
  • Lead on operational projects that require independent research, evaluation of data and suggesting innovative solutions;
  • Collaborate with Global HR functions on continuous improvement projects
  • Attend virtual company business updates and take an active interest in the company products, strategic direction and competitor landscape
  • Keep up to date with labor/employment law requirements across APAC (except China)

Operational Role Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with leadership teams across the remit
  • Performing onboarding and offboarding activities for employees
  • Ensure timely and accurate information flow between the business and HR Ops to allow maintenance of employee records
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives that meet the needs of the business, promote fair and best practice, facilitate a good employee relations climate, ensure compliance with the Company's legal obligations and avoid litigation and adverse public relations.
  • Provide input to and support roll out of global & local L&D programs (training, DEI, engagement)

Talent Acquisition:

  • Own all Talent Acquisition processes across remit of role, liaising with key stakeholders in nonEnglish speaking markets to ensure delivery
  • Drive execution excellence measured in speed of outcome, quality of hires and a positive experience by all stakeholders
  • Manage process from requisition to verbal offer
  • Build and maintain strong partnership relationships with chosen search firms.
  • Perform (screening) interviews as required
  • Educate managers on the process and raise the bar on topics such as creation of job descriptions, interview and selection criteria
  • Act as adviser on needed employer branding/marketing and execute in market

HR Data and Analytics:

  • HR report generation and data analysis. Identify trends and anomalies as appropriate to support business decision making
  • Ensure timely and accurate information flow between the business and HR Ops to allow maintenance of employee records

General Business support:

  • In consultation with HRBP will advice the business on employment matters
  • Work with HRBP and the business on employee matters and lifecycle topics such as complaint management, goal setting etc
  • Perform onboarding and offboarding activities for employees as needed within local and global processes
  • Educate managers and employees and ensure that employee & manager selfservice aspects of Ceridian is fully embraced and leveraged
  • Performance Management
  • Support roll out of engagement surveys; Drive execution and follow up for local engagement plan

People & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Build strong working relationships with managers to promote and monitor excellent employee relations through effective communication practices across the customer group.
  • Contribute to building to a high performing and positive HR Team

FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE
-
Essential experience and knowledge:

  • 8+ years experience across different HR disciplines in a commercial environment; (TA, HR Generalist, andadvisory experience)
  • Experience of identifying and managing key stakeholders in HR and business matrix
  • Experience working with local management teams
  • Has worked across a multitude of employment jurisdictions and cultures
  • Strong data analysis, systems, and IT skills
  • International outlook and cultural curiosity
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Fluent English, Korean or Japanese in addition preferred

  • Outstanding proactiveness
  • Independent problem identifier and solver; not afraid to ask questions to speed up delivery
