GKE Metal Logistics Pte Ltd is a London Metal Exchange (LME) approved warehouse operator, specialized in providing warehousing, handling and logistics services with a particular focus on managing non-ferrous metals for our customers.

We are now seeking career-focused individuals for the position of:

**Customer Service Executive/Assistant (Logistics)

This position is responsible for liaising with customers, logistics operators and customs officials for planning and tracking of the movement of goods to ensure goods are cleared through customs or quarantine.

He / She is also responsible for reviewing freight costs, negotiating rates with logistics and insurance companies, and preparing quotes for customers.


Key responsibilities as follows:

  • Liaise closely with customers to meet their operational requirements. Manage our Customers' inventories and coordinate the shipment and transportation of metals in a timely manner.
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills to develop strong customer relations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in compiling stock and inventory reports.
  • Follow up on customers' enquiries, complaints and feedback.
  • Prepare shipping documentation (shipping invoices / custom permits etc.) and billing invoices.
  • Communicate with local / overseas agents, carriers and customers on shipment status.
  • Verify shipping documents to ensure all regulatory requirement are complied with.
  • Liaise with the warehouse department regarding any specific customer requirements.
  • Consolidate LME/Customs details for all jobs related to import and export.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 23 years' experience in logistics / freight forwarding.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Able to communicate in Chinese language (to liaise with Chinesespeaking counterparts).
  • A high level of initiative, proactivity, and selfmotivation.
  • The ability to quickly pick up new skills.
  • Essential excel skills
