Primary Function/Primary Goals/Objectives:

Responsible for providing support for training and employee development activities. Lead the management and execution of training matrices and accurate training assignment in Learning Management System. Identify training needs and providing recommendation to stakeholder for improvement of employees' performance. Provide instructional design expertise and create training material that meet learning needs intent and enhance learning retention.

Has competency to act as coach/SME in the different aspects of training scope for collaboration with stakeholders in achieving tasks and improvement projects timely.


Major Responsibilities:

Learning Management System and Training Compliance

  • Assist in the development of Training Matrices and the formulation of departmental and site training strategy/plan.
  • Lead review of training matrix with stakeholders to ensure accuracy of training assignment.
  • Generate reports and analyze training status proactively. Work with stakeholder or trainer on required actions or issue resolution that will ensure employees are able to complete training on time and incompliance.
  • Lead the management of data in Learning Management System, initiate resolution or improvement that will facilitate efficient search or maintenance of data. Perform data entry and update information timely and accurately that matches training matrix.
  • Generate reports as required and report metric KPIs.
  • Subjectmatterexpert in the functionality of Learning Management System, explore and implement useful functions to stakeholders that will help with reporting and compliance in training completion.
  • Responsible for the filing of learning records in accordance with retention policy where documents are easily retrievable at all time and audit ready.

Training Content Development and Course Implementation

  • Assist in training needs analysis process to establish the learning and development needs of the plant, department and individual.
  • Subjectmatterexpert in the use of elearning authoring tool to design interactive and effective training.
  • Responsible to create a system to track and monitor training effectiveness, including evaluation analysis and reports.
  • Work with trainers on training material preparation and other logistics for course implementation.

Train-the-Trainer (TTT)

  • Conduct Trainthetrainer to inhouse trainers and lead improvement effort in further enhancement of the standard in training delivery for the site.
  • Provide coaching to inhouse trainers to help them improve their training delivery skills.
  • Accountable for trainer qualification data and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all assigned trainers attend TTT and are certified.

Employees' Training and Development

  • Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining appropriate learning and development programs.
  • Ensure there is a systematic and structured framework/ system for training and development of staff for current and future roles/ responsibilities.
  • Continuously work with stakeholders on training needs and source for good courses that can be part of site's training offering for employees' development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in ensuring completion of competency development plan and assist with reporting of metric.

Training Scheduling and Enrollment

  • Responsible for implementing new hire orientation program, including planning, coordination with department facilitators, all necessary communication and logistics, tracking of onboarding program completion and submission of necessary documents.
  • Accountable for inhouse instructorled trainings scheduling for such that employees can attend their required training as needed. Communicate with stakeholders and ensure employees who need the trainings are registered for the trainings.
  • Schedule for and facilitate training and internship report out session with the right target audience.

Training Processes and Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in training processes and execute action plans to improve or close gaps either to make work more efficient or ensure auditreadiness.
  • Responsible to execute change request, initiate workflow and track to approved state as per procedure revision timeline.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • At least 35 years of relevant work experience in learning and development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Experience in elearning authoring tools, video creation for training implementation is a plus.
  • Meticulous and detailed.
  • Critical thinking and analysis skill.
  • Good project and stakeholder management skill.
  • Proactive and take initiative in driving for improvement or issue resolution.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities & challenges.
