The Associate Finance Manager, Vision Care Regional Office BUF, will act as key finance business partner to:

  • Regional cross-functional teams to support planning/ allocating regional investments to ensure delivery of financial commitment and execution of business strategy
  • Franchise marketing, commercial, crossfunctional teams, and markets to support execution of franchise strategy, portfolio framework and innovation launch plans, including driving financial analysis and franchise reporting to provide valuable insights for decision making

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Regional Office Support and Planning - 50%

  • Lead budget and forecast cycle process for the regional office, including influencing outcomes with regional function leads and senior leaders
  • Lead monthly reviews of regional office investments and budget, working closely with various functions to ensure forecast is upto date and key risks/opportunities are flagged out timely.
  • Manage and track financial commitments relating to external projects, and optimize the benefits of this partnership including managing any financial risks / opportunities relating to the project
  • Drive actuals financial close cycles and ensure compliance to accounting policies and timelines in partnership with GS Finance and other finance functions
  • Ensure proper reconciliation of accounts under the care of Business Unit Finance
  • Perform annual cashflow forecasting and support tax reporting requirements
  • Track project capital and expenses in the regional office
  • Support payment processing and vendor setup as needed
  • Understand and drive standardized reporting, maintain SOP for regional office
  • Prepare adhoc reporting/requests & perform analytics for decision support to business partners
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed (Compliance)

Franchise Partnering - 40%

  • Understand and contribute to the development of business strategy and planning, including conducting financial analysis of costs, pricing, margins and partnering cross functionally to drive sustainable growth, profitability improvement measures, setting direction for short to long term plans, new product launches, resource allocation, investment effectiveness including Return on Investment.
  • Analyse franchise actual performance vs. business plan, which may include pricing, profitability, variances analyses and evaluation of new products to make recommendations to Regional Business Leaders.

Regional FP&A - 10%

  • Support regional FP&A tasks as needed including performing financial analysis for decision support to business partners, investors relations & meaningful commentary.
  • Ongoing finance function improvement projects, around optimization of reports, analytics, and business support processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (in Accountancy/Finance)
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant finance experience, preferably with prior experience in business partnering.
  • Strong analytical skills, good communication and business partnership skills, strong planning / prioritization under tight timelines.
  • Detail oriented, highly accurate and a selfstarter with excellent interpersonal skills who can communicate across all levels.
  • Be committed to recurring reporting requirements and the flexibility to react to unexpected demands and special assignments, as well as shifting priorities under tight timelines. Takes ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Ability to challenge, improve and optimize current processes, hands on mentality. Critical thinker and good business acumen.
  • Excellent technical skills, with strong computer aptitude and advanced Microsoft Excel/ PowerPoint and financial and planning database tools. Experience in SAP/ TM1 preferred
