Overview


To support our IMCD offices in Asia, we are looking for an IT Desktop Support Engineer who is responsible for installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure in accordance with corporate standards.

He/she will be working with local third-party IT support to provide guidance to the offices in the Asia region.

This role will be based in Singapore and reports directly to the IT (Service Delivery) Manager, Asia.

Responsibilities:

The IT Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for the following:

End user support

  • Provide enduser technical support and troubleshooting on both hardware and software at local and remote branches without local IT support all over the Asia region.

Server support

  • To maintain the Active Directory and Group policy Management.
  • Administer and give support for Office365 related issues.

Network support

  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments and access to Internet.
  • Network switches/routers and wifi configuration and maintenance.
  • Ensure that systems and network are secure based on company's security policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.

Administration

  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
  • Maintain Hardware & Software inventory.
  • Documentation on changes on IT Infrastructure (network and servers).
  • Any other adhoc IT requests and support required

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology
  • Fluency in English
  • 5 years working experience providing enduser support and troubleshooting
  • Strong analytical and good interpersonal skills
  • Handson and willing to provide support and guidance to colleagues and management
  • Works independently and adheres to the corporate standards.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols and systems, security and network storage protocols, Remote Access (VPN), DNS, DHCP, VLANS wireless and wired networks
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory and Office365.
