What a typical day entails:
- Develop strong client relationships and comprehend clients' employee benefits requirements, ensuring alignment with their chosen insurer/program
- Understand and stay informed about each client's business landscape, strategies, and HR, risk, and financial needs, offering relevant product recommendations
- Keep updated on developments in the insurance markets
- Conduct pre-renewal and/or renewal meetings with clients
- Ensure competitive renewal terms by thoroughly reviewing renewal conditions and analyzing claims data
- Prepare renewal documentation like proposals, claim analyses, benchmarking reports, communication materials, and handbooks
- Deliver informational sessions on benefits programs to employees and relevant partners
- Address inquiries from both HR personnel and employees
- Manage employee movements and underwriting requirements for assigned accounts
- Ensure timely premium payments from assigned accounts
Skills and experience for success:
- Diploma in a relevant field
- Meet minimum regulatory requirements for registration as a Broking and FA representative with MAS
- 3-5 years of experience as a consultant or account manager in the Health & Benefits Industry, working with multinational clients
- Client management experience, analytical abilities, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong self-discipline and organizational skills
- Interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering excellent service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
