The Singtel rewards and well-being sits within the larger Group People & Sustainability department. The Well-being team looks after all aspects of employee health and wellness through different programs, initiatives and events. 

 

Our health and wellbeing internship aims to teach our interns the following:

  • Apply health management learnings to plan and implement programs for a large organisation
  • Learnings to be applied span Singtel’s holistic well-being pillars: mental, physical, social, financial and professional well-being aspects.
  • Build relational skills and teamwork with cross-functional members, and presentation skills at regular Health & Wellness committee meetings.
  • Gain exposure to some HR benefits work e.g. medical benefits, company awards applications and leave management/claims.

 

Make an Impact

  • Employee Awareness
    • Plan and prepare fortnightly H&W EDM communications for employee awareness building of the Group’s well-being program across our 5 pillars of well-being (Mental Health, Physical Health, Financial Well-being, Belonging and Inclusion, Professional Development)
    • Track utilisation and participation statistics across various channels of communication and events
    • Review to-date research completed by previous interns and supplement with any new insights for our well-being programs and propose suitable interventions for implementation
    • Logistical support for events, while ensuring safe management measures taken into consideration for onsite events where applicable, eg:
      • Virtual or in-person webinar hosting and support
      • Annual Singtel Group Learning Fiesta
      • Race Against Cancer
      • World Mental Health Day
    • Work with well-being team to re-design of benefits/well-being pages on intranet and contribute to policy changes where possible
    • Support any other well-being initiatives or policy implementation
  • Health and Wellness (H&W) Committee Participation
    • Work with Track leads to propose campaigns, develop communications/animations to build employee awareness of different health and wellness concerns employees have
    • Support committee members with existing programs that each H&W Committee rep can bring to his/her business unit
    • Participate and minute monthly meetings
    • Provide support for any H&W events (physical or virtual)
  • People Benefits
    • Support the rewards team with any administrative work during the medical benefits tender process
    • Assist in filing leave claims
    • Work alongside the well-being team in applying for various company awards through submission papers

 

 

Skills for Success

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma in Health Management, Human Resource or equivalent
  • Knowledge in well-being programmes 
  • Experience in Programme Management
  • Designing skills
  • Team-player, good interpersonal skillls
