Global Travel Retail (GTR) plays a critical role in Beam Suntory’s journey to a great brand-building company. The team’s focus is on improving Marketing fundamentals and ‘excellence in execution’ by developing the processes, procedures, and tools to empower our marketing and commercial organization to be world-class brand builders. This role will help to ensure hyper-creative customer focused solutions, delivery of our Monozukuri principles, communicating the GTR and Brand vision through various forums.
Role Responsibilities- Develop and execute required marketing and brand strategies, following Global Brand Strategy, for the category or brands under his/her scope – including key issues & insights, pricing, packaging, promotions and advertising while allocating resources accordingly.
- Develop elements of brand plans and brand toolkits
- Analyse key business metrics - Monthly review and recommendations on brand performance, value and volume share, competitive activity and brand health metrics
- Standard financial understanding and P&L dynamics
- Share program results and key learning from research or testing (where applicable) or with feedback from Shopper Marketing Managers, Commercial Sales Directors, and Innovation & Insights team
- Manage brand budget, BI management, SAP, vendor invoices and business reporting accurately
- Alignment and successful delivery of high quality activities and activations from Brand Plans to in-store POS to Digital
- Work closely with Shopper Marketing and Account teams to ensure flawless activation at the local level in alignment with our Monozukuri principles
- Work with Shopper Marketing Managers to regionalize brand plans and deliver select custom programs where applicable such as Chinese New Year and Diwali.
- Coordinate with GTR Program Leader (PMO) on project milestones, scheduling, tracking and governance of the centralized structure (including; International Marketing, Commercial/Global Key Accounts and channels)
- Create high level of rapport with key stakeholders in the global functions (specifically with counterparts in the Global Brand Houses to secure alignment on strategy and met GTR requirements)
- Minimum 7 years marketing experience
- University degree- BS/BA or equivalent
- Proven ability to execute flawlessly on brand/marketing projects that align with overall Brand strategy and/or client/agency side
- Ability to perform structured analysis of complex data as it relates to Brand direction
- Strong project management and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple products
simultaneously with a high degree of independence
- Demonstrated experience in working across and up, within the organization, gaining credibility amongst peers, managers and other commercial leadership.
- Demonstrated personal characteristics to be brand evangelist
- Experience in trade/customer/shopper marketing desired
- International Marketing experience desirable
- Self-driven, results oriented, pragmatic, with a flexible and positive “can do” approach to challenges and difficulties.
- Effective at influencing across cultures
- Flawless communication skills in writing, meetings, and presentations
- English proficiency level, oral and writing
