The Role
The primary focus of the Business Development Manager is to generate new business by strategically identifying and acquiring new accounts, while also managing and nurturing relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate has strong experience in sales, and account and distributor management, particularly within the conveyor belting industry or related sectors.
Accountabilities
- Client Portfolio: Distributors, OEM and End Users
- Industry Expertise: Multiple industries with an emphasis on Food and Beverages, Airport and Logistics, Paper and Print / Corrugators, and others
- Sales Cycle: Long-term Strategic Partnerships
- Revenue Impact: Directly contributes to top-line revenue and business growth
- Team Collaboration: Works closely with cross-functional teams (Customer Service, Product Management, Operations) to align strategies
- Decision-Making: Influence on pricing and strategic decisions
What Are We Looking For
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or any relevant field.
- Industry Experience: 5 years of sales experience with focus on distributor management, and strong experience and knowledge of End User and OEM.
- Sales Skills: Proven ability to identify and qualify leads, conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Customer-Oriented: Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction, relationship-building, and providing tailored solutions.
- Technical Competency: Solid ability to understand product range and quality requirements to be able to provide solutions to customers with the possibility of conversion.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities (English and Bahasa Indonesia), capable of engaging with key internal and external stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiating skills and the ability to collaborate with distributors to maintain profitable margins and ensure timely AR collection.
- CRM Proficiency: Good experience using Salesforce to track and manage sales activities, opportunities, accounts, and reporting.
- Time Management: Ability to manage a portfolio of accounts, prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively, and meet sales targets and deadlines.
- Proven track record demonstrating high integrity, trust and transparency whilst performing all actions.
