Lead and manage business origination efforts within the oil and gas sector, identifying and securing new opportunities to drive revenue growth and strengthen market presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in the oil and gas sector, aligning with company growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders, to drive business development.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify emerging opportunities and develop strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as operations, legal, and finance, to structure and negotiate complex agreements and contracts.
  • Evaluate the financial viability and risk of potential projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic and financial goals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance visibility and foster partnerships.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, and business cases to secure internal and external stakeholder buy-in.
  • Drive the end-to-end origination process, including prospecting, due diligence, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Track and report on the performance of origination activities, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, policies, and developments to ensure compliance and identify potential impacts on business operations.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry, including upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain high-level client and partner relationships.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, market analysis, and business development processes.
  • Exceptional negotiation and deal-structuring skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with financial modeling and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and other business development software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on opportunities.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in origination, business development, or related roles within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully closing deals and driving revenue growth
