**ENGIE Supply & Energy Management (S&EM)**is one of ENGIE’s Business Units. We deliver services in supply and logistics management, asset management, risk management, market access management, while contributing to the market understanding, design and efficiency and developing market solutions to accelerate the energy transition.

S&EM manages one of the largest and most diversified energy portfolios in Europe, including electricity, natural gas, bulk commodities and environmental products. S&EM has an extended geographical coverage in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and in the US.

Within the S&EM, Business Unit, the Business Platform APAC is managing and developing the group’s trading activities for the APAC & Middle East region around 3 main pillars: risk management and market access, asset management and energy supply businesses.

**WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE**

**Organization**

Based in Singapore, the S&EM APAC Origination desk provides risk management services for clients in APAC & Middle East. We provide a range of optimization, hedging, market operations and analytics services for these clients.

**Role**

The S&EM APAC Origination desk needs a new Originator to take advantage of exciting opportunities open to the team as part of the energy transition. These opportunities are likely to involve a wide range of structured contracts involving trading power, oil, gas and carbon/renewables.

The new Originator will be motivated, numerate and commercially driven.

**Main activities**
- Assist the team in managingday-to-day flow business, including pre-deal checks, trade execution, trade booking, market commentaries and other daily tasks
- Work with rest of team to provide client coverage until London close (midnight Singapore)
- Assist senior team members in creating materials for pitching, which requires both deep knowledge of ENGIE group and products
- Take lead on the process ofonboarding clients, specifically working with group functions (i.e. KYC, Credit and Legal teams) to manage timelines/workload/priority
- Develop strong relationships with other teams internally, including oil and gas trading, carbon and green products desk, support functions, as well as teams in Europe and US.

**YOUR PROFILE**
- University graduate with work experience in commodity markets, derivatives sales, or power markets
- Native language skills in English; fluent-to-native language skills in 1-2 other language including Chinese (Mandarin), Korean, Hindi, Arabic, etc (must be able to read and write)
- Proactive attitude to drive initiatives forward and willingness to work hard

**Technical skills**
- Basic understanding of global energy markets
- Good financial markets knowledge
- Ability to develop and make presentations to educate and present to external and internal clients
- Strong spreadsheet skills (basic data analysis)
