Evo Commerce owns a few CPG brands focusing on high quality supplements. We’re currently operating in 3 markets and our team members are based out of Singapore. We have past experience working in big tech companies which includes Grab, Tiktok, Zalora, FoodPanda, Fave, Shopee, etc.
Our hero product, bback (previously known as Bounceback), is currently one of the fastest growing CPG brands in SEA and is loved by bankers, traders, influencers and bartenders with a high efficacy rate against hangover post drinking. Our aim is to become the Redbull of hangover recovery, making hangover remedies accessible to drinkers worldwide. Then came Stryv, our high quality, salon-grade hair tools and product line with an affordable price tag. We believe there’s no need to break your bank to get the hair you want. We’re big advocates of direct-to-consumer brands, and believe in the new world (Post-COVID), consumers buy directly from global brands through digital native storefront, bypassing distributors, wholesalers and retailers. This means commerce and information are more efficient, and the implication to the end customer is that product quality goes up and cost of goods are reduced drastically. We want to be the catalyst for this paradigm shift within the health and beauty industry.

The Country Manager is responsible for overseeing business operations, partnership marketing, retail, and the company’s strategic direction across Singapore and Malaysia. This role requires a unique balance of entrepreneurial drive and corporate discipline — someone who thrives in scaling venture-backed consumer brands while ensuring financial performance, operational excellence, and long-term market leadership.
Key responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute country-specific business strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Provide strong leadership to ensure the company’s vision, culture, and goals are effectively implemented across Singapore and Malaysia.
Business Operations & P&L Management
- Manage the overall P&L for the country, ensuring profitability, cost efficiency, and sustainable growth.
- Oversee business operations, retail performance, and corporate sales channels, including gifting and B2B usage.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with landlords, retail groups, mall operators, and ecosystem partners.
Market Knowledge & Expansion
- Deep understanding of the FMCG and retail market in Singapore and Malaysia, including customer insights, consumer trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels to expand market share.
- Analyze retail performance metrics regularly, implement corrective actions, and maximize sales effectiveness.
Marketing & Brand Building
- Design and implement marketing campaigns that resonate with local customers.
- Generate content and creative ideas that educate, engage, and convert audiences.
- Leverage data and feedback to optimize marketing and sales efforts.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams.
- Build organizational structures that maximize efficiency and accountability.
- Set clear targets and motivate teams to deliver strong results.
Financial Acumen & Analysis
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and country-level financial performance.
- Track sales and market data, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure alignment with corporate reporting standards and expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
- At least 6 years of experience in senior leadership roles, with a proven track record in managing country-level operations or multi-market teams.
- Strong knowledge of local regulations, industry trends, and consumer dynamics in Singapore and Malaysia.
- Demonstrated track record in driving revenue growth, scaling from 1 → 100 stage, and managing large P&L responsibilities.
- Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to manage a P&L and budget for a country or regional operation.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
