Overview

Andaz Singapore, the first Andaz hotel in South East Asia, is looking for an Executive Sous Chef. Andaz Singapore, located in the Ophir-Rochor district, offers rich cultural experiences embedded in the neighborhood. The hotel’s design reflects Singapore’s vibrant, creative culture and the unscripted style of Andaz. As the second in command of the culinary team, you will lead, motivate and guide the team, drive menu innovation, and maintain high standards of food quality, safety and sanitation. You are a natural leader who mentors and trains junior team members and thrives on challenges.

Responsibilities

You are an experienced chef passionate about menu development and food presentation. You will assist the Executive Chef in leading, motivating and guiding the culinary team, and as the second in command drive menu innovation while upholding high standards of food quality, safety and sanitation.

Qualifications
  • Minimally one year as Executive Sous Chef or three years as Head Chef in a well-established luxury hotel brand
  • Culinary degree/diploma or equivalent experience
  • Great knowledge in restaurant and banquet kitchen management is required
  • Creative and innovative on menu concept
  • Well-versed in operational standards, managing food and payroll cost
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high level of food standards
  • Strong understanding of hygiene standard
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent administrative, customer service, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • A can-do attitude
