Scope

You will partner with and support business line heads, principal investigators, and managers to proactively handle a full range of HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Campus Visits, Staff Retention, Compensation, Performance Appraisals, Talent Management, and Development.

Duties and Responsibilities

Partnership and Responsibilities

  • Partner with research institute leaders and managers to manage HR functions proactively and consultatively.
  • Collaborate with Centres of Excellence (COE) on reviewing, developing, and administering rewards and benefits programs.
  • Serve as the contact point for employee relations issues, providing HR advice and accurate assessments.
  • Make decisions within your areas of responsibility.
  • Manage workload during peak periods and plan for backup resources.
  • Lead process review and improvement projects, generating ideas and translating them into actions.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably in higher education or research sectors.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate well at all levels and a strong service orientation.
  • High IT literacy, with strong numerical and analytical skills.
