The Senior / Executive, Data & Research plays a crucial role in assisting with the formulation, implementation, and management of strategic initiatives within the organisation. This position involves supporting the SPCD Managers in conducting research, analysing data, and contributing to the development of strategies to achieve organisational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market opportunities to inform strategic decision-making and identify potential market shifts.

  • Analyse historical and real-time market data to assess the effectiveness of key brands and the impact of relevant campaigns.

  • Contribute to the reporting of industry-monitoring studies and the identification of new trends in media and technology.

  • Compile, track, analyse, and report on key indicators from both internal databases and external data sources for monthly reports.

  • Manage datasets to ensure data accuracy and reliability, providing timely feedback to stakeholders to rectify any data discrepancies as needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-departmental teams to maintain databases related to data analytics, survey and performance metrics.

  • Engage vendors to conduct surveys and polls that support the organisation’s strategic objectives.

  • Generate reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate key insights and track Key Performance Indicators, presenting findings clearly to support data-driven decision making.

  • Liaise with vendors and manage training sessions for staff on data analytics tools and their applications, supporting inter-departmental communications and facilitating data-sharing initiatives.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and communications for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Foster open communication channels with cross-functional teams and departments.

  • Support the team in additional projects as assigned, including initiatives relating to strategic planning and corporate development.

  • Perform any other duties as and when reasonably assigned by the Management.

Qualifications

  • Economics, business, communications/media studies or any other relevant undergraduate or post-graduate degrees.

  • Preferably some internship or working experience in a research or consulting role, preferably in the media and entertainment-related industry.

  • Possess strong analytical skills, strategic acumen and curiosity in industry trends and developments.

  • Passionate and evidence-driven individuals with an open mind for a wide range of perspectives and thinking styles.

  • Independent, self-motivated, resilient, resourceful, a good team player and ability to multi-task.

  • Strong in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and any other relevant analytics software.

  • Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of data analytics and visualization skills will be favourably considered.

  • Interest in experimenting and leveraging AI and digital tools in daily work
