Responsibilities

• Collaborating with portfolio managers, researchers and traders to understand their data requirements and to find data solutions
• Onboarding and managing vendor datasets used extensively in Tower trading and research platforms
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure necessary to support the firm's data management processes, including storage, compute, and networking resources
• Building and maintaining ETL pipelines
• Contributing to the design and development of Tower data platform
• Designing and implementing data quality checks
• Monitoring data processes and data health, participating in on-call rotation, proactively solving data related problems
• Supporting internal data users (Traders, Researchers)
  

Qualifications

• Master's in Computer Science, Quantitative Finance or Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• At least 2+ years of experience in Python
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data modeling, and database design principles
• Familiarity with database systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Experience with CI/CD processes and DevOps
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work autonomy as part of a global team
  

Good to Have

• Proficient in AI/ML techniques for detecting patterns and anomalies
• Knowledge of referential data and corporate actions
• Experience in building scalable data systems
• Experience in the financial/trading sector
