Job Summary

The job holder provides support on data analytics and research to the Senior Manager/Manager (Data Analytics) and to grow an evidence-based and data driven planning culture in MENDAKI.

Key responsibility areas
  • Data and Research Areas
    • Assist the Senior Manager/Manager (data analytics) in the development of data analysis and insights required to gain an in-depth understanding of education, youth and family-related issues and concerns affecting the Malay/Muslim community.
    • Conduct environmental scanning and trend analysis in the areas of which have an impact on the organisation’s work plan and/or Malay/Muslim community.
    • Manage data partnerships between ministries and partners.
    • Deliver on organisational data profiling, mapping and analysis, such as data dictionary for Mendaki system.
  • Stakeholder Management (Internal and External)
    • Assist the HOD and manager on engagements and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders such as ministries, national agencies, and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), and internally with MENDAKI teams.
    • Contribute to the framework of collaboration with partners/ stakeholders in data management, and information sharing.
    • Digest and communicate MENDAKI’s analytics and research findings and trends to Management and other stakeholders
  • Research, Data and Programme Evaluation Support
    • Support team research, analysis and evaluation requirements.
    • Manage organisational data profiling, mapping and analysis
  • Other Duties
    • Provide executive support for Management Meeting/ Conferences.
    • Provide logistical and administrative support in relation to RPEO’s publications and/or events.
    • Provide editorial support in relation to RPEO’s publications. This includes summarising content and editing articles.
    • Deliverables of Research & Programme Evaluation Office work plan.
    • New project and initiatives to build team’s contents and capacity.
Requirements
  • Degree in Psychology / Behavioral Sciences / Statistics, or any related discipline from a recognised institution
  • Possesses an analytical mind with strong ability to sense-make of large amounts of data, translate data strategies into operational and tangible results
  • Exposure in Data Analysis and Research Methods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and advance formulas with working knowledge on Macro/ VBA coding.
  • 2 to 3 years working experiences with Business Intelligence tools, preferably MS PowerBI, SPSS modeller and Python
  • Strong writing skills
  • Resourceful, able to work independently and with teams
  • Organised with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem solving, results-driven and meticulous
