Schneider Electric is looking for a Head of Channel Sales to make an impact. The Head of Sales – Industrial Automation will be responsible for driving profitable growth of the Singapore Industrial Automation business through effective leadership channel partner development and marketing initiatives. This role oversees the P&L, manages a dynamic team across end-user and channel sales, and develops strategic plans to expand market presence while fostering long-term customer and partner relationships. A key part of this role is transforming the channel partner ecosystem to ensure scalability, competitiveness, and alignment with future business needs.
Who you are
You will be responsible for: leadership of a team focused on end-user and channel sales and driving channel partner development; and for executing a strategy to grow Industrial Automation business in Singapore.
Responsibilities- Business Metrics & P&L Ownership
- Full ownership of the Industrial Automation business P&L, ensuring revenue, margin, and profitability targets are met.
- Oversee Channel Sales, managing System Integrators, Distributors, and OEMs to drive scalable growth.
- Identify new revenue streams, improve channel efficiency, and optimize product/solution mix.
- People Leadership
- Lead, inspire, and coach a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability and success.
- Set individual and team performance goals, monitor progress, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Provide training, mentoring, and resources to enable sales team capability development.
- Strategy Development
- Define and execute the overall sales and go-to-market strategy for Industrial Automation.
- Analyze market trends, identify new growth opportunities, and prioritize target industries and customers.
- Expand and strengthen channel partner network to maximize market coverage and competitiveness.
- Channel Partner Transformation & Marketing
- Lead the transformation of channel partners, ensuring they evolve with market demands, digital capabilities, and solution-based selling.
- Develop partner enablement programs, including training, certifications, and joint business planning.
- Segment, rationalize, and upgrade channel partners to drive value creation and align with long-term growth strategies.
- Driving and orchestrating channel marketing programs with distributors, system integrators, and OEMs to generate demand and accelerate growth.
- Work closely with Offer Marketing to execute new product launches and focused offers, ensuring channel readiness and market adoption.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align campaigns, promotions, and events with sales strategy.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with key customers, end users, and channel partners.
- Understand customer requirements and ensure delivery of tailored solutions that create value and satisfaction.
- Act as an executive sponsor for strategic accounts and projects.
- Sales Forecasting & Planning
- Lead sales forecasting and pipeline management for demand planning to ensure accurate visibility of business performance.
- Set ambitious but achievable sales targets and ensure effective resource allocation to achieve them.
- Prepare comprehensive sales and business plans to support growth initiatives.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor sales metrics and KPIs to track progress against targets.
- Provide regular, data-driven reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, risks, and corrective actions.
- Continuously improve sales processes and adopt best practices for efficiency and impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in Industrial Automation or related industries.
- Existing networks with Industrial Automation ecosystem in Singapore is a plus.
- Proven track record of P&L management and achieving/exceeding multimillion-dollar sales targets.
- Strong experience in managing end-user accounts and channel partner ecosystems, including leading channel transformation initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and financial acumen.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence at executive levels.
