Senior Research Engineer I

Job Description:
The successful applicant will be responsible for the AI/NLP research and development in designing smart nation platforms. The key responsibilities include:Gather system requirements by defining and analyzing system problemsDesign and implement natural language processing (NLP) algorithms and models for semantic analysis, e.g., word embedding, named-entity recognition, coreference resolution and parsing, and ontology and knowledge graph constructionsApplication of NLP in knowledge and information retrieval, and relevancy ranking with spatiotemporal considerationConduct "translational" research to apply the state-of-the-art solutions at scale for real world challengesDocumentation and scientific reporting
Job Requirements:PhD in computer scienceSome experience and research background in AI and NLPPassionate about NLP and AI related research, innovations and their applicationsProficient in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, etc.) and research packages/modulesExperience in large-scale text processing and analyticsGood track records in publication
