The School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) invites applications for the position of Research Engineer I.

Satellite Research Centre (SaRC) is dedicated to performs R&D projects in space science and technology.

SaRC has successfully developed, launched, and operated 13 satellites in orbit The centre has more than 10 years of accumulated experiences and data for satellite design and operation.

SaRC has a full-fledged of facilities to realize the spacecraft simulation, testing, integration, and operation.

The engineering laboratory, clean rooms and mission control room are equipped with specialized equipment such as the thermal vacuum chamber and S/X band 6.1m antenna dish.

SaRC is working closely with local SME, regional MNC, universities, and space agencies. The objective is to share and collaborate with international expertise to achieve excellence in space.

Key Responsibilities:
To support the R&D of
NTU satellite projects VLEO-Remote SensingDesign and develop MCU/MPU/SOC platformAnalyze system requirements and generate modular specificationsIdentify and qualify components for spacecraft operationBuild, test and modify prototypesCircuit validation and system operational validationTest and characterize circuitsCode and debug in embedded CFPGA programmingGuide/design printed circuits to comply to EMC/EMI requirementsWork with team members to ensure smooth integration of various subsystemsDocument all process and implementationManage tasks according to project scheduleSupport the centre and project operation, such as satellite mission operation, satellite testing and student activities

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and above in Electronic Engineering or related field from a reputable universityDiploma with good industry experience may also be consideredExperience in MCU/MPU/SOC embedded system platform design and programmingGood understanding and ability in analog and digital circuit designProficient and good skill in pcb artwork such as Altium or OrcadKnowledge of various embedded hardware and application systemsExperience in generation of design specification documentation, schematic capture, and circuit analysis and simulationExperience with debugging tools such as bus and spectrum analyzerExperience in CAN, SPI, I2C bus protocolsAble to multi-task and work in a dynamic environmentFluent verbal and written communications in EnglishExperience in complete full product life cycle preferredExperience in FPGA, Analog or RF design preferred
