Pre-sales Engineer

Job Description:

  • Undertake the role of a liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders on technical issues, e.g. specification, drawing and costing.
  • Plan and manage the sourcing and selection of suppliers for procurement of products/materials. This will involve an initial supplier survey, qualification and risk assessment of new suppliers.
  • Proper storage and filing of information gathered into central database.
  • Perform tender compliance by working closely with vendors and extracting information from central database.
  • Attend sales kick-off meetings and ensure that materials are procured accurately according to the customer’s requirements.
  • Issuance of purchase order and verify supplier invoice for payment.
  • Conducting pre-delivery inspections once production is completed.
  • Proper handover to logistics department to execute delivery in a timely manner.

Job Requirement:

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics preferred) will be an added bonus.
  • Strong analytical skills accompanied by attention to details. Persons that can read numbers and translate them into strategy.
  • Can-do attitude and goal-oriented. Passionate to learn and discover new techniques and tools to stand out in the fast-growing competitive environment.
  • MUST be able to converse in Mandarin and English
