The Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth (Singapore) Ltd. (CSP SG) is an independent non-profit focused on advancing social and environmental sustainable development through sustainable finance, with a unique focus on the private wealth space.

CSP SG is the first major global expansion of CSP at the University of Zurich, a highly successful academic research and teaching institution that has a distinctive edge in bringing together wealth owners, investment professionals, scientists, and policy makers to generate knowledge and to mobilize capital toward impact.

CSP Zurich developed out of the Impact Investing for the Next Generation programme launched in 2015 at the Initiative for Responsible Investment at Harvard Kennedy School.

The CSP platform is deeply integrated in the private wealth community globally, including via deep partnerships with key investor networks such as Toniic and The ImPact, and key groups at leading universities ranging from Harvard University to MIT and the University of Zurich.

The work of CSP addresses three barriers in steering capital to impact:

  • Knowledge
  • Capabilities
  • Support networks

These barriers are addressed through:

  • Research into the key questions of sustainable finance and private wealth
  • Trainings that translate actionable insights into practice
  • Engagement that amplifies the work of CSP and its partners
Tasks

As the Training Manager, you will play a vital role in developing and rolling out CSP SG’s portfolio of training programmes and actively growing this exciting portfolio globally, focusing on

  • Financial intermediaries
  • Wealth managers
  • Other institutional players in the private wealth space
  • Wealth holders (particularly UHNWIs and family offices)

This is a highly interesting role for anyone interested in driving outsized positive impact globally and in a very dynamic growth-environment, as you are responsible for a uniquely powerful established suite of programs within the CSP platform.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Program Delivery, Content Development and Program Management (40 percent)

  • Develop and lead/deliver CSP SG’s portfolio of training programs (including both IBF-certified open courses and customized programs) for
  • Wealth holders
  • Financial intermediaries
  • Institutional players in the private wealth space
  • Wealth holders (particularly HNWIs and family offices)
  • Design and develop engaging and effective training programs and materials utilizing various instructional techniques and technologies, including on-site courses, virtual classrooms, and webinars.
  • Create and update training content, presentations, and training manuals.
  • Ensure training programs incorporate industry best practices, emerging trends, and innovative learning methodologies.
  • Oversee the end-to-end training process, including scheduling, logistics, and delivery of training programs.
  • Coordinate with internal trainers or external vendors to facilitate training sessions as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Develop and submit select courses under the IBF-MAS Technical Skills and Competencies (TSCs) in Sustainable Finance for accreditation (IBF-STS).

Intermediary Relationship Management (30 percent)

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (L&D, Head of Sustainability, Head of Private Wealth, etc.) at institutions CSP SG works with, understanding their training objectives, and anticipating their needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for financial intermediaries, ensuring timely and effective communication, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess training needs, define learning objectives, and customize training programs to align with their organizational goals.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling training services to existing clients.
  • Proactively seek/attend networking events to establish new contacts and ideas in the SI space.

Wealth Holder Relationship Management (10 percent)

  • Develop an understanding of the impact journey needs, objectives, and long-term goals of the HNWIs who go through our programs.
  • Identify potential wealth holders who would benefit from participating in our flagship training program.
  • Support strategies to deepen relationships with existing wealth holders encouraging their continued participation in future programs and support of CSP.

Event Management and Administration (20 percent)

  • Support events and programs that cater specifically to wealth holders with a focus on supporting them in their sustainable investment journey.
  • Co-create engaging and interactive sessions that provide valuable insights, guidance, and resources to help build and enhance the ATC (Associate Trainers Club)
  • Manage the budgets and/or contracts for the FI programs in close collaboration with the Head of Training
Requirements
  • Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident with a University degree in Economics, Finance, International Development or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in the banking and financial services industry. Experience doing so in the sustainable finance context is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of financial advisory/planning concepts, products, and regulations.
  • Experience working with client relationship managers/financial advisors and/or high-net-worth clients is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants.
  • Flexibility to adapt training approaches to different learning styles and preferences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate training effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) / Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) / Completion of Competency-Based Assessment Course is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, project management event planning abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple training initiatives and events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with diverse audiences and stakeholders globally.
  • Excellent English communication skill (written and oral) is essential. Good communication skills in Mandarin are a plus.
  • Comfortable using a variety of software including MS Office, Asana, Slack, Odoo, etc.
  • High level of self-leadership and self-organization in dealing with a highly dynamic and growing environment.
  • High attention to detail and standards of work quality.
  • Trustworthiness in handling confidential data.

Note: While financial advisory/planning experience is considered a bonus/preferred, candidates without this specific background will still be considered based on their overall qualifications and ability to fulfill the responsibilities of the role effectively.

The candidate will report to the Head of Trainings of CSP SG.
