Senior Payroll Specialist

OVERVIEW
In the role of Senior Payroll Specialist, APAC, the employee will be responsible for the following:
· Perform daily payroll department operations
· Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
· Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
· Understand proper taxation rules
· Process correct calculations, including garnishments, severance, holiday pay, etc
· Work on ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
· Work on a monthly reconciliation process between payroll and general ledger
· Assist with payroll related audit requests
· Collaborate with other members of the payroll team, payroll provider as well as the accounting team to ensure accuracy of general ledger
· Assist with documenting processes and controls for payroll
· Knowledge of APAC Pension Schemes
· Work with Third Party Vendors including ADP, VISTRA & E&Y
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

· High degree of professionalism, and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
· Process improvement orientated
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Energetic with team player mentality
· Strong knowledge of APAC Payroll Compliance
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
· Experience of Workday would be an advantage
· Strong Accounting experience
· Proficient with Microsoft office, in particular intermediate Excel skills.
· 4+ year’s, experience processing payroll in APAC
