We work independently but support our SE colleagues and sales teams in any and every way. We provide ongoing and iterative training and enablement geared toward subject matter expertise and improving the customer experience. Our goal is to raise revenue by improving product demonstrations, creating and sharing new sales collateral, and evangelizing Liferay and its technology as we listen to customers share their experiences and digital transformation endeavors.About You and The Role We make a world-class platform for some of the largest enterprises out there to build dynamic and data-driven user experiences. We’re looking for a Sales Engineer who will be supporting the creation of demos, solution proposals, commercial strategies, positioning documents and collaterals, targeting specifically opportunities in ASEAN, with a special focus on Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Sales Engineers are both highly technical and laser-focused on business solutions. While that sounds daunting, you won’t be doing it alone We have a global sales engineering division with teams in Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific, and North America that are excited to sell with you. If analytical thinking, problem solving and presenting based on a robust platform product is an exciting challenge for you to own, you’ll be a critical asset to our team. Key Objectives Conduct engaging, branded product demonstrations and educate customers on Liferay's value proposition to drive successful deployments. Lead technical engagements with prospects, customers, and partners, and develop proposals, RFIs/RFPs/POCs, and commercial strategies. Define implementation architectures, becoming an expert in Liferay technologies and customer applications (., Customer Experience, Web Content Management, Integration with External Systems etc). Collaborate with the sales team to formulate and execute strategies that exceed revenue targets, while participating in conferences and roadshows to promote Liferay. Share knowledge globally through webinars and videos, and meet regional and individual sales targets. Travel 25-40% for on-site engagements with customers and partners when necessary. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or equivalent level of demonstrated experience 3+ years designing/implementation/consulting experience with web based applications and/or Digital Experience Platforms/CMS Experience presenting to both large and small audiences (Executives, IT Management, and developers) Experience with business requirements gathering, technical specifications, architecture diagrams, development, testing, and deployment. Excellent English skills (reading, writing and speaking).
