About the job:
This role provides leadership, direction and execution of business strategy for the Neurosurgery, ENT and Orthopedic Instruments (MedSurg) business across Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia to meet growth targets and deliver levels of service and professionalism consistent with the strategic plan across the region.
What you will be doing:
Sales
Manage & implement local sales tactics & execution per year in line with franchise and country objectives.Achieve annual sales and growth targets for the Neurosurgery, ENT and Orthopedic Instruments (MedSurg) business across Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.Build strong capital equipment sales funnel with high win rateLeads and develops direct sales team, and manages indirect channelsBuilds and executes business development plans for new products and geographies Create & maintain relationships with key hospital stake holders including but not limited to:Chief ExecutivesProcurementKOL’s Maintain appropriate levels of company quality serviceCorporate policy, legislation and quality compliance to meet national and international standards.Appropriate risk and asset management across all areas of responsibilityEmployee engagement scores (Q12) Partner with Marketing to implement annual marketing plans and product management strategy including product launches and lifecycle management Work closely with operations team to ensure stock level forecasting is in line with proposed marketing plans e.g. product launches, deletions etc Training & Education: Sales StaffCreate & implement training plans for internal and distributor sales teamsEnsure that training records are properly kept & logged as per Stryker QMSLeadership/People Development/Engagement:
Responsible for development of the team including individual development plans and build a strong talent pipeline for critical roles within the team Conduct annual performance reviews & bi-annually interim performance reviews Effectively mentor and coach the team to enhance their capability Create an energetic and high-performance culture with a strong sense of accountability and ethics Build and maintain exceptional employee engagement within the team. Conduct employee engagement sessions, and create and execute action plans based on these sessions Build cross-department cooperation and efficiency Responsible for compliance with company policies and corrective actions Responsible to live and exemplify Stryker’s Values; Integrity, Accountability, People, and Performance. Ability to connect with people of all levels of external companies from Managing Director of large indirect channel partners to the dealership staff and proprietors of smaller channel partners.Conduct & Compliance:

Degree in Business, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical desirable. Minimum of 10 years of Business Development / Sales & Marketing Management experience in the Medical Device business with a minimum of 3 years leading and managing direct sales teams. Experience in Orthopedics / Medical Device / Pharmaceutical marketing is highly preferred and will be a distinct advantage. Experience in a high-growth, lean organization strongly preferred. Excellent oral and written communication; including presentation skills-demonstrated ability to be clear and concise. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate well with internal and external stakeholders. Proactive and result orientated, with ability to take decisions and deliver high quality results quickly when necessary and resilience to challenge/be challenged. Cultural empathy and agility. Able to work in complex environments with the ability to navigate sensitive cultural issues. We are open to candidates that are based in Singapore or KL, Malaysia as this role can be based in either location. Travel Percentage: 30%-
