Bright Point Financial Group (BPI) is a boutique financial services firm offering a one-stop shop service to institutional clients across global market access, derivatives clearing, OTC derivatives, inter-dealer broking, and precious metals trade facilitation.

BPI has points of presence in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and the UK with regulatory licences from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Singapore Ministry of Law, Hong Kong Securities and Financial Commission, and UK's Financial Conduct Authority.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the Operations Department to help set up FX operations perform post trade processing, clearing and settlements for Exchange Traded Derivatives, OTC Forex & Commodities, as well as other asset classes that the company adds to the suite of product offering with a focus on OTC FX. The incumbent will work in a team on periodic shift rotation round the clock.

The incumbent should have relevant experience and understanding of FX settlement process and FX settlement system requirements.

**Key Responsibilities **before **commencement of OTC FX operations**:

- Leveraging on experience and expertise to provide OTC FX settlement system procedures;
- Provide specifications to vendors for building/ enhancing FX settlement system;
- Coordinating with various internal departments and vendors to source for and ensure requirements are built in settlement system;
- Perform UAT testing on settlement system to ensure smooth operations before LIVE

**Key Responsibilities at **commencement **of OTC FX operations**:

- Daily trade booking, allocation, processing and settlement of Exchange Traded Derivatives, OTC Leverage Margin Forex and upcoming new business lines;
- Book and check journal entries;
- Assist with daily settlement processing and ensure customers statements are accurate and issued on a timely manner;
- Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies with front office and/or brokers or counterparties;
- Perform daily equity reconciliation with brokers and investigate and resolve breaks when detected;
- Assist in implementation of new products/ systems / business lines/initiatives;
- Assist in conducting User Acceptance Testing and parallel run of new system enhancements and migration project;
- Participate in workgroup meetings to identify operational support & develop any new procedures together with team members to support new business lines/initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, Banking & Finance or Accountancy.
- Have prior experience in derivatives brokerage house or equities brokerage in an operational role.
- More than 5 years’ experience in OTC FX settlement with in-depth understanding of process and system requirements.
- Experience with debt securities and structure products will be a plus.
- Meticulous, fast learner and adapt well in fast-paced environment.
- Good inter-personal skills and able to communicate effectively in both Mandarin and English as the role requires dealings with Chinese speaking associates.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge in VBA or macro will be an advantage.
- A good team player with positive and can-do attitude.
- Must be able to work on Singapore Public holidays and early morning shift with periodic shift rotation round the clock.
