Singapore BID Operations Full time

**Overview**

We are looking for a **Senior Accountant** to join our team and play a key role in strengthening our finance operations. In this position, you will lead month-end closing activities, support group consolidation, and ensure compliance with Singapore’s accounting and tax regulations. You will collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external partners to produce accurate financial reports and drive process improvements.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Accounting & related processes**:

- Engage in a variety of operational processes (for example, reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of the General Ledger) and contribute to the implementation of financial control measures on a daily basis.
- Lead the month-end closing process, including collaboration with the external bookkeeping agent. Responsible for intercompany balance reconciliation, thorough financial review and analysis.
- Assist in group consolidation and monthly reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Aid in organising and retaining supporting documents and refining processes for enhanced efficiency and quality.

**Statutory (Financial / Taxation / Compliance) & Management Reporting**:

- Support the analysis of financial data for management reporting to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Work with an external accountant to prepare statutory annual financial statements for consolidated and individual entities.
- Assist in the annual audit process, including timely preparation of workpapers and regular engagement with the audit team to manage the process through to sign off
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the timely filing of returns in various jurisdictions.
- Liaise and work with external Auditors / Tax Agents / Service Providers for the timely delivery of service engagements.

**Communication & Collaboration**:

- Communicate effectively with internal and external clients/stakeholders to ensure requests are properly attended to.
- Work closely with team members to ensure quality and timely execution of team functions.

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary Degree in Business or Commerce with Accounting Major or similar
- 3-5 years of accounting-related experience. CPA/CA qualified.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Mandarin fluency is desirable.
- Exposure to financial services, or fund management, is a plus.
- Firm Mover is highly welcomed.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
