Job Capsule

Responsible for providing technical assistance to clients, developing procedures associated with same, presenting information to clients in their technical area. Within the organization, may also be referred to as Inspector.

Job Duties/Roles

1. Perform the inspection as per the client contract, applicable Codes, standard and specifications
2. Verify equipment used in inspection is properly calibrated
3. Interpret data from the inspection and report the results
4. Answer basic customer questions
5. Prepare and issue Report of Activity, inspection reports, certificates, and inspection release notes.
6. Perform JSA, risk assessment as and when required.
7. Prepare and submit daily/weekly time sheets and invoice request forms to the supervisor/manager for his approval.
8. Reporting to line manager.
9. Maintain the job files.
10. Any adhoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

**Job Requirement**
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (KSAR)

1. Technically sound in the relevant area and independent judgment in carrying out responsibilities.
2. Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, specifications, rules and regulations
3. Ability to interpret received data and match against set standards.
4. Knowledge of company business policies and procedures
5. Good communication skills with emphasis on writing technical reports.
6. Working knowledge of the ABS Group Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System.
7. Good communication skills with emphasis on writing technical reports.
8. Knowledge of company business policies and procedures
9. Knowledge of NDT certifiable to ASNT SNT-TC-AI, level II a plus
10. Knowledge of welding technology
11. Knowledge of heavy industry equipment and components such as pressure vessels, rotating
equipment, electrical components, and down hole oil field equipment
12. Knowledge of industrial coatings.
13. Knowledge of ABS Group Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental management system.

Minimum years of Experience

Typically requires five or more years of experience.

Required/Preferred Education Requirements

A degree or equivalent from an institution recognized within a relevant field of engineering or physical science (a minimum three (3) or four (4) year program depending on local education system) and proficiency in the English language.
