Position Summary
Reporting to the Finance Analyst (SEAPAC), the role is a key supporting member of the SEAPAC Finance team responsible for the financial accounting function, co-ordination, and reconciliation of commercial finance reporting for the SEAPAC business comprising of 8 markets.
This individual should be able to work independently and resourcefully, with a keen eye on business knowledge and details. Having competencies in data mining and analytics as well as reporting would place the individual on good stead in the role. This person needs to be a strong team player and possesses good communication skills.
Job Description
- Support in monthly and yearly financial closing, preparation of journals and GL schedules as well as balance sheet reconciliation for SEAPAC.
- Manage In-Market Stock Report and Depletion Reporting - mainly for Malaysia (MY).
- Assist in internal and external audit for SEAPAC markets.
- Support Finance Analyst (SEAPAC) in day-to-day trading operations and successful financial closing.
- Perform journal postings and reclass entries in SAP (Selling Costs/A&P/Overheads).
- Extract GL listing from SAP (FBL3N) and work on the data to incorporate mappings of Customers/Materials/IO numbers to present the information by market/brand/project as part of the month-end process.
- Update monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation schedules and assist in quarterly audit queries from Central Finance team by providing supporting documents.
- Prepare monthly Overheads report by refreshing Analysis for Office (AFO) and tallying with GL/Cost Centre listing (KSB1) from SAP as well as Concur data.
- Work with the Commercial team (re-export) for monthly submission of in-market inventory report and depletion (sell-out) data.
- Extract, cleanse and summarise different types of data from various sources into standard reporting format for distributor monthly stock balance and depletion (sell-out) report by channel generation.
- Validate monthly depletion (sell-out) invoices to substantiate distributor incentive, outlet target incentive and sub-distributor free goods claims.
Skills and Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accounting or any equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience with good knowledge of accounting concepts, prior experience in Consumer Goods industry a plus.
- Preferably with SAP knowledge.
- Good organisational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills, and able to derive deep insights through data mining and analytics.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
