Software Support Specialist

As a **Software Support Specialist **, you will play a role in performing software deployment and support. Your primary focus will be on implementing, automating, and optimizing the processes that allow for the seamless integration of software development and deployment. You'll work closely with level 3 support teams to enhance the efficiency and reliability of software delivery, while also collaborating with IT operations to ensure a stable and scalable infrastructure
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, promoting a culture of rapid and reliable releases.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage infrastructure configurations using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, enabling scalable, repeatable, and versioned infrastructure provisioning.
- Cloud Services: Work with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to architect, deploy, and optimize cloud resources, ensuring security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Security: Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices, perform vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Collaboration: Act as a bridge between development and operations teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and efficient workflows.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software, infrastructure, and environments, and provide technical guidance to resolve complex problems.
- Automation: Identify opportunities for automation and orchestration to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve overall efficiency.
**Skills / Experience required**:
- Bachelor's in Computer science or computing engineering and at least **5 years **relevant experience
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Travis CI, or CircleCI.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
- Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure services.
- Knowledge of security best practices and a proactive approach to security concerns.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Being able to able to converse in Mandarin is a plus as this is a role that might require interaction with Chinese customers.
