Our client started business with a simple mission: to help the common man make sense of the insurance policies they are buying/holding. Buying a policy without fully understanding what it covers you for and how it fits into your portfolio is more common than you think. They understand that insurance is undeniably important. But even more important is understanding how the policy benefits you in times of need. Hence, they are on a mission to improve the financial literacy of you and me in a fun, interactive way. They are an InsurTech company that empowers users to start their financial journey through reward-based learning. Using the platform’s technology, you will be able to manage your insurance digitally, whenever you need, wherever you are.
They are looking for a dynamic individual to join their expanding business as their Operations, HR & Finance Manager. You will have a trio of responsibilities, handling Operations, Finance and Human Resource. If you are an adept multi-tasker up for a challenge, we would love to speak with you.
**Responsibilities
Operations:
- Oversee Day-to-day Operations Processes (General Insurance Policies Purchasing & Reviewing, Renewals, Endorsements, & Claims Management) & ensure all policies are accounted for
- Be the customers’ voice and update the product team about issues every week with your reporting.
- Work with various insurance partners on Operations’-related matter
- Regularly report out on team performance to company executives, focusing on insights and initiatives to improve performance.
- Work with team leads to handle client escalations and partners issues.
- Provide Compliance Support to the Head of Compliance
Finance:
- Track and reconcile bank statements.
- Assist in preparation & reviewing of Management Accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed.
- Provide administrative support during budget preparation.
- Participate in quarterly and annual audits.
- Liaise with the company’s corporate secretary for all governance related matters.
HR:
- Provide administrative support around the general office.
- Develop and implement People strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Report to management and provide decision support through People metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Manage Interns - from hiring to work allocation.
**Requirements**:
- 2-5 years’ of experience in Human Resources, Operations & Customer Service is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic accounting, audit and its principles is ideal
- Prior experience in the insurance/finance industry will be highly advantageous
- A great communicator and presenter with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.
- A passion for making onerous processes simple and quick.
- Process-oriented thinking with strong problem-solving skills and a creative mind that loves to solve challenges.
- Self-motivated to prioritize, manage workload and meet critical project deadlines.
