Data Center Structured Cabling Lead

The Data Center Service Delivery (DCSD) team is the Data Center Site Management structure responsible for providing timely and cost-effective installation and maintenance services to ASPAC Data Center. DCSD is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and re-engineering as applicable, all distributed systems and LAN/WAN infrastructures in the Data Centers. DCSD provides onsite, 7 x 24, second and third level support for the Data Center operations infrastructure. They provide hands-on break/fix support to resolve infrastructure/operations problems escalated from the Global Command Centers and/or System Administrators. DCSD is responsible for end-to-end management of all technical requests. DCSD is responsible for hands-on infrastructure support for all Data Center disaster recovery tests and/or situations, which may include reassignment of resources to recovery sites in the ASPAC region. **Responsibilities**: The Data Center Structured Cabling Lead roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for project management and implementation of structured cabling related projects within the Data Center and Technology rooms. Design and maintain the cabling infrastructure in order to facilitate ease of identifying cables and troubleshooting by DCSD. Design with plans to futureproof the structured cabling system as technology upgrades. Design has to plan for growth and for changes in technology, and provide flexibility in connections. Maintain the patch lead inventory in SGDC to ensure common lengths are available. Maintain all cable test equipment's and ensure the validity of the calibration certificates. Knowledge and proficiency in TIA-942 standard. Manage the physical deployment of data center-related technology and partner with various stakeholders. Ensure that goals, missions, and projects are successfully delivered and that they are repeatable across our global array of data centers. Assist with the coordination of cabinet power, circuit, and patch infrastructure installations w/various facilities, electrical, and communications vendors. Assist w/the coordination of network component configurations. Coordinate and Install SAN cabling infrastructure. Managing network ports and assist with all consumable capacities. (cables, labels, tie wraps, rail kits, etc.). Maintaining the integrity of the data center facilities, systems, and communications environments through general housekeeping practices and best operations practices. Performing required compliance activities. Producing network consumables updates and contributing to weekly management reports. Coordinate activities in support of all projects and technical requests within the Data Center. Manage CTI-approved third party vendors in support of local/regional business service commitments and to assure adherence to Corporate and CTI standards. Other duties as assigned by management. **Qualifications**: 5-8 years of experience in Infrastructure process change and improvement Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience Ability to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline Experience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment preferred Effective written and verbal communication skills Effective analytic/diagnostic skills **Education**: Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
