**Operations Vice President**

As a Barclays Operations Vice President (VP), you will join the role within Singapore Branch Operations, covering metrics submission for the branch, oversight of services, cross coverage support model, including accountability for Corporate Operations. You will act as a catalyst for change and inspire confidence in stakeholders with the quality and conviction of their vision, building support and sponsorship at all levels and ensuring the need for change is embedded across the team and inculcate a culture.

**What will you be doing?**
- Developing a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the operations team, identifying gaps via current state analysis, developing a target state solution design
- Leading delivery of benefits for SG Branch Operations and recommending optimisations to improve efficiencies
- Identifying automation opportunities, detailed documentation, capturing of testing scenarios, enablers, articulating them to the stakeholders for analysis and documentation
- Communicating effectively your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
- Managing service performance in line with agreed service levels and targets and driving a culture of continuous improvement
- Maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders within Bank and related customer business areas
- Being accountable for the resiliency, professionalism and reputation of the Barclays brand and financial industry within which operations operates
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, colleagues, clients, regulators across the location, region and the globe

**What we’re looking for**:

- Degree in business or relevant discipline and a proven track record of leading, implementing change, liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders of all levels of seniority
- Good verbal and written communication skills with sound knowledge of the operational procedures, regulatory requirements in the region with project management skills
- Insight into external market developments, initiatives, ability to interpret, draw conclusions from data and communicate findings in clear convincing manner to stakeholders
- Knowledge of key corporate banking products and solutions include cash management, trade finance, BGIs (Bonds, Guarantee and Indemnities) and asset finance

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Product knowledge in trade finance related products with a good understanding of end to end processes for each of the products
- Excellent understanding of Trade and Debt documentation including identifying standard /non-standard wording and the inherent risks brought by each
- Working knowledge of the ICC rules for Trade products (UCP600, ISBP, URC522 and URR725)
- Knowledge of SWIFT messaging
