To manage and oversee a Central Sanctions Function that will be responsible for developing, maintaining and overseeing a sanctions and screening framework that supports and enables UK Howden Broking to meet applicable sanctions and screening requirements.

Provide meaningful analysis and management information about sanctions and screening activities, risk mitigation activities and exposures into the key governance forums to enable review and assessment of the on-going adequacy of sanctions and screening systems and controls and the sanctions and screening risk profile.

Activities-
- Develop, communicate and implement a sanctions and screening strategy, framework and policy that is risk based and suitably mitigates the risk of breaching sanctions or screening associated financial crime risks.- Maintain and deliver strategy for efficient real time and batch screening capabilities.- Oversee the on-going suitability, performance and accuracy of any sanction screening software used.- Oversee and ensure delivery of effective and efficient outsourced sanctions screening operations.- Develop and deliver a training and understanding programme in respect of sanctions and screening related requirements.

Experience Required- Extensive experience of managing compliance with the UK financial sanctions regime within a second line compliance function in a UK-based General Insurance broker.- Strong knowledge of OFSI, OFAC, UN, EU and FCA requirements in respect of sanctions.- General awareness of FCA requirements relevant to GI brokers.- Experience of managing a team.- Broad knowledge and understanding of insurance, principles, products and services.
