The Emerging Systems Division focuses research and development on a broad spectrum of capabilities that are critical to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) defence systems. These include antenna design and electromagnetics, as well as next-wave technologies in the areas of lasers and advanced materials.

Materials R&D Engineer

In this role, you will:

- Support technology developmental projects exploring new materials technologies
- Perform design, materials processing, materials properties characterisation and validation of material entity/entities. The experimentation validation includes from materials testing to part's fabrication and testing

**Requirements**:

- PhD / Masters / Bachelor’s in Materials Research / Materials Science and Engineering
- Proficiency in materials processing and characterisation
- Able to exhibit analytical thinking to address/solve unstructured problems
- Able to work in both lab and field environment
- Able to engage with vendors, collaborators to translate the design to parts fabrication
- Able to work with teams of diverse technical backgrounds
