Distribution Manager

Overview:
This position is based in Singapore Hub to support the Distribution & Transportation for Singapore Manufactured products to Distribution Center in the USA, Europe and to all the Asia Pacific countries. In addition, responsible for the Distribution & Transportation for USPA, EHQ & UKPA products that are shipped to Singapore Hub for redistribution to all the Asia Pacific countries.

**How You’ll Make an Impact**:

- Manage a very large Distribution Center and serving APAC region, a large geographic region.
- Handles very complex projects and problems where analysis of situations, systems, policies or data requires an in-depth evaluation of causal factors and consultation with senior management.
- Monitor transport carrier reliability, quality and cost metrics.
- Initiates and develops policies, metrics and procedures to lead, improve and manage the distribution management functions.
- Assist in the development of overall distribution strategy and provide input to senior management regarding overall distribution strategy.
- Provide leadership in the design, development and execution of new Distribution Centers as required.
- Assure proper import/export documentation and compliance with Company policies and legal requirements.
- Resolve complaints and issues following Company policies, processes and procedures.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and recommends improvements.
- Prepare detailed analysis and reports for upper management.
- Function as the Distribution Center’s spokesperson with both internal and external personnel.
- Drive site ERP system user population education and training and system improvements through collaboration with IT.
- Generate process and quality improvement initiatives to lower costs and improve operating efficiency as approved by senior management.
- Lead the Singapore direct team whose primary focus is to partner with the Singapore Customer Care team and the Supply Chain Planning team in the delivery of excellent customer service through order fulfillment to the Singapore direct customers, as well as the channel partners.
- Provide leadership to the organization from a warehouse operation, Finance, Transportation and Import/ Export perspective, including reverse logistics, ensuring that Bio-Rad has the appropriate structure and required systems in place to meet the increased demand of the function.
- Partner with 3rd Party Logistics Providers in the areas of Internal and domestic transportation, Import & Export and packing materials, facility maintenance of the Distribution Center.
- Interact with peers within Supply Chain community from the USA, Europe and all the Asia Pacific countries and be engaged to the Commercial & Functional Leaders.

**What You Bring**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business or in materials related field such as logistics, materials management or Supply Chain management. MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 10 years manufacturing and distribution experience of closely related functions with experience operating in a GMP and/or FDA regulated warehouse environment.
- At least 10 years of people leadership and management experience.
- Excellent leadership, influencing and communication skills.
- Experience developing subordinate managers and building high performance teams across multi-departmental organizations.
- Knowledge in managing poison and control drugs products.
- Advanced understanding of financial principles related to budgeting, variance and gross margin management, setting innovative performance metrics and standards.
- Full knowledge and implementation of LEAN, GMP manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S and other quality concepts and systems.
- Experience in setting up distribution data in ERP systems and strong PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- GDP-MDS as well as Cold-Chain experience in the fields of Life Science & Clinical Diagnostics.
- Managing of Hazardous Substances certified / AVA / NEA Knowledge will be advantage.
