Singapore OLAM GLOBAL AGRI PTE. LTD. Full time

**Key Accountability Areas**:

- Run a book on the futures markets - involving futures, options, calendar and product spreads for at least 1-3 yrs and manage a positive Pnl record
- Strong know how & insights into the Edible Oil / Oilseed industry and its supply and demand dynamics
- Develop and execute hedging strategies to minimize physical position exposures/basis/spread risk to market volatility
- Interact with customers and other trading desks daily to facilitate hedges/EFP transactions
- Responsible for derivative positions including analysis, risk metrics, position limits, daily reconciliations and strict adherence to regulations regarding trading practices and reporting
- Participate in weekly market analysis discussions with senior management and global regional managers
- Part of the team for developing gameplan for trading short term and long term strategies for edible oils and executing the same
- Participation in weekly conference calls with origins & destinations to update on market situation/opportunities and competition activities

**Person Characteristics**

The incumbent should have proven experience as a “self starter” with a strong element of dynamism and the ability to move fast and get things done. Being able to objectively assess the risk and manage the same promptly is a key pre-requisite for the individual. He should have the stature and the maturity that commands the respect of his peers.

**To be successful you should:
**Experience & Qualification**
- Have 5-7 years of trading (physicals and futures) experience in the grains/oilseeds / Veg. oils
- Have an ownership mindset and desire to run the show Independently
- Have very good people management, communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate with and influence a matrix of internal and external customers at varied levels
- Relationship building & strong industry knowledge & contacts Travel extensively across international markets
