Regional Finance Director

**Your Role**

As **Regional Finance Director - Asia Pacific & Middle East (APME) **based in Gensler’s Singapore office, you provide financial leadership and management within the finance function in the Region, which includes offices in Bangalore, Bangkok, Middle East, Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo. Reporting directly to the Regional Operating Officer, you work closely with Office Directors and Studio Directors to maximize project and office profitability. You are responsible for complete financial acumen for billing, project accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, contracts, and consultant processing.

**What You Will Do**

You provide financial leadership and oversee full accounting functions including but not limited to: project accounting, accounts payable, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, general ledger, financial reporting and analysis, month end close, profitability targets, contract administration, P & L and Balance Sheet.

**Responsibilities**:

- Serves as an integral member of the Region’s management and leadership team
- Working with Accounting Manager(s), provide oversight of Project Accountants, and related finance staff
- Oversee billing and fee management operations in the Region and ensures that all financial activities are consistent with Gensler policies and procedures
- Prepare quarterly revenue forecast with Office Directors, Studio Directors and Practice Area Leaders
- Assist Regional Operating Officer in preparing operating budget and closely monitors overhead expenditures
- Prepare monthly estimate of profit and loss and manages month end close with Accounting Manager(s)
- Closely manages accounts payable, collections, overhead expenses and productivity projections
- Monitors accounts receivable and assists in collection efforts when necessary
- Assists Regional Operating Officer in analysis of operations and preparation of monthly operating report.
- Acts as a resource and financial expert within the Region
- Is involved in firm wide projects and initiatives. Participates in conference calls and meetings as appropriate
- Reviews vendor contracts and provides appropriate feedback regarding business terms, as required

- Demonstrate practice leadership skills by motivating employees to enable them to reach their individual potential
- Maintain a positive team environment by creating programs to boost morale
- Provide staff members with an “open door policy” to allow individuals to feel free to communicate with you and other members of the management team
- Build staff capabilities through programs that improve individual skills and develop improved management and communication
- Lead Professional Development Planning program annually and ensure employee goals are monitored throughout the year
- Ability to communicate effectively with people from different cultures, different levels of experience, both internal and external to the firm

**Your Qualifications**:

- A Senior Accounting or Finance professional with a minimum of 10 years of related experience. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards in Singapore and other relevant countries. Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.
- Good understanding of tax regulations and tax accounting principles, e.g. GST, income tax and deferred tax etc.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment, and produce accurate and timely deliverables
- Strong customer service orientation, a team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships
- Results driven, detail orientated, self-motivated and proactive
