- Site Operations

The Site Operations team performs a crucial role in maintaining the overall health of our data center’s infrastructure systems to ensure that our Vantage customers receive the best-in-class data center services. The Site Operations team at Vantage manage vital electrical and mechanical infrastructure as part of our daily operations and possess expertise in mission critical facility management. Responsibilities include establishing operational practices in new facilities, managing facility maintenance and capacity management, performance optimization, and providing rapid response and performing repairs if unplanned events occur.

About the Opportunity
- The role requires knowledge and experience of managing critical facilities' operational practices, with an attention to detail, and a determination to maintain a high standard. You will assist development of an accountable process to track operational readiness of upcoming site launches that highlight and addresses operational risks. Site launch activity will include establishing and developing operational teams in upcoming regions to be competent in Vantage toolsets, operational processes, and routines. In addition, he or she will monitor the performance of existing teams to ensure alignment, currency, and consistency across the group. The impact of your efforts will be visible through our staff's ability to operate safely, securely, and consistently managing new sites with an elevated level of competency.

Your success will also be evident in the team’s ability to maintain compliance with our management systems and policies in a consistent manner across the organization while implementing, maintaining, and responding to requirements.

About You

Ideally you will have these skills, qualifications, and characteristics:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field, or equivalent work experience required-
- 10+ years of experience in facility/plant engineering and maintenance management-
- 5+ years of experience in management position with 5 or more direct reports-
- Proven record of excellent internal and external customer serviceLead teams by example and encourage continual process improvement-
- Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment and deliver results-
- Be assertive, committed, and able to perform multiple tasks independently and efficiently-
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated report writing, attention to detail and complex organisational skills-
- Have experience developing and delivering competency programs-

**Responsibilities**:
Key aspects:
- Establishing Site Operations teams in new regions with strong involvement in the hiring process from end to end and for all levels.-
- Oversee the knowledge and competency development of new hires and tracking existing progress across APAC-
- Develop a site launch plan that provides a baseline for tasks, measures progress against milestone SLAs (Service Level Agreements)-
- Develop metrics and reporting for the progress of multiple launch projects and captures risks and issues-
- Ensure locations are proficient in planning, preparing, performing, and reporting on site management activities-
- Provide support and guidance to the Critical Facilities team in problem and change management to ensure their timely response and proactive planning-
- Provide support and guidance regarding all aspects of Site Operations Management and Emergency Operations-
- Uphold and impart all aspects of Safety, Health, and Environment-
- Ensure all physical processes and activities performed by the team are followed in accordance with Vantage's Mission Critical Facility work rules and approved procedures-
