Senior Manager, Deployment

The role requires an extremely organized individual who pays close attention to details to help our programs and projects plan and execute complex deployments. This Deployment Lead will be responsible for planning large-scale SAP & Data Platforms migrations/deployments from pre-cutover activities to post-deployment tasks which include a successful transition to our Application Maintenance teams. This role high visibility and interactions within both IT and the business. Job duties include developing release schedules, providing support during the technical release process, and ensuring that production systems are functional following a successful release.

The Solution Deployment Lead is responsible for detailed solution deployment planning, preparation, set-up, readiness and cutover activities, working day-to-day with the business stakeholders and multiple vendors to prepare users for, conduct and manage a phased solution deployment across all the clients' operations.

**Key responsibilities**
- Develop and own comprehensive deployment plan covering integration solution with support from multiple vendors. This should contain a list of deliverables and activities that will be executed by the Deployment workstream.
- Lead and co-ordinate solution deployments across multiple sites, executing the plan and readiness checklists in a staged rollout (deploy and back out).
- Ensure the deployment plan and activities are communicated and adequately resourced to support users during the transition.
- Ensure high quality manual and automated data migration.
- Ensure business communications, user and manger training, hardware installation and configuration, user setup and access, data migration are managed in a timely manner in consultation with the business customers.
- Provide written documentation describing a project or program's overall Deployment strategy
- Work with project and program workstreams to plan and develop detailed cutover plans, which include both technical and functional steps to be executed during the deployment phase.
- Lead small team of cutover team members during the preparation and execution phases
- Lead deployment planning activities with IT, business and third party teams
- Determine go-live readiness criteria, socialize them with key stakeholders and obtain requisite approvals
- Plan and execute mock cutovers to help teams prepare for the final production cutover
- Establish and communicate the overall Deployment plan with senior stakeholders such as program management, business unit leads and the CXO
- Manage the scope and schedule of cutover activities
- Manges risks and issues associated with the cutover and prepare appropriate mitigation plans
- Provide detailed backout options for severe contingencies
- Ensure compliance with IT processes including proper documentation and securing approvals of requisite changes through our Change Advisory Board process
- Provide timely escalation to IT leadership where necessary.
- Liaise with the functional SAP experts and business teams to assist with the planning and execution of Deployment activities.
- Conduct post deployment reviews and evaluate, document, and implement recommendations for improvement.
- Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations.

**Qualifications, Experience and Skillsets**
- 5+ years' experience in solution deployment strategies, approach, and plans as a Solution Deployment Lead
- Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience in effective and proficient software solution deployment to the defined schedule and manage business expectations
- Experience with Devops process and Jenkins
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage by influence within and across various IT and business disciplines
- Strong negotiation skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
