ROLE SUMMARY

Data is at the core of how we make decisions as a company. Data and analytics is a key differentiator that we provide as a service to our customers. We are looking for a Head of Data & Analytics who will drive and implement strategy and tactics to grow and evolve our data and analytics platform. This platform connects data across the e-commerce value chain and is used across various functions by internal and external business users.

This role will focus on bringing experience and thought leadership to deliver value through Data & Analytics to solve the in-market business problems & opportunities coming from the ecommerce businesses on marketplace model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Data and Analytics vertical is responsible for building data, data science and analytics as a core capability to help the marketplace become data intelligent and create a data driven culture with continued focus on business outcomes and organization performance. The team will deliver advanced analytics products at scale and work closely with the market teams and customers to ensure that decisions are augmented with insight & recommendations wherever possible.

It will also require setting up scalable teams to deliver capabilities faster & cost efficient. With the ever-changing technologies & evolving business requirements, the role also warrants an external orientation to bring in an outside-in perspective & help deliver the best-in-class solutions.
- Defining organizational data analytics vision and roadmap, and works closely with team and other stakeholders to achieve it
- Conducting data analysis projects as needed to support strategic decision-making
- Formulating and implementing policies and procedures for efficient and comprehensive data collection and analytical techniques
- Understanding business strategy and proposes new, innovative areas for analysis to support the business
Summarizing key findings and effectively presenting to UMP leadership
- Collaborating with tech & product teams and partners to ensure smooth and secure integration of data analytics solutions into existing infrastructure
- Leveraging data analytics for effective, high-level risk monitoring and mitigationKEY REQUIREMENTS:

- MBA or Masters Degree or Equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; equivalent work experience accepted
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years in a statistical analysis role & 7+ years of management experience
- Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously in a highly VUCA and competitive market.
- Passion for empirical research and for answering hard questions with data
Proven ability to understand business context and ability to integrate cognitive and advanced analytics levers for solutions
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative insights to business in a precise, and actionable manner
- Serve as the trusted data and analytics consultant for business leaders, one who provides products-solutions that rapidly solve for business issues
Experience in end-to-end large-scale project implementation.
