We are looking for a
**Communications Manager** to drive Terrascope’s global strategy and engagement across policymakers, industry bodies, media, partners, investors and potential customers. This is a hands on role: you will set and execute Terrascope’s policy and communications, shape our public persona and turn complexity into accessible stories.
You’ll need to be a clear, concise communicator and a top-notch collaborator, and you’re equally at ease engaging with in-house technical teams as external reporters, analysts, customers, partners, and even competitors.
This position will collaborate closely with Terrascope’s Growth & Marketing Lead and lend a deep expertise and specialisation in Communications, and together build a world-class comms and marketing capability. This role is based in Singapore.
**In this role you will**:
- Co-create the communications strategy for Terrascope, from thought leadership to event experiences—and everything in between
- Source and analyse market trends, competitor activity, current events, and climate news to inform and continually iterate our communications strategy
- Engage frequently with industry, national, and international press, both within and beyond the climate space
- Build and maintain strong relationships with influencers across the climate landscape, including (but not limited to) sustainability leaders, industry, media, analysts, nonprofits and NGOs, climate experts, and policy makers
- Own internal communications to connect the various teams within Terrascope through culture building experiences, employee content and events
- Ability to provide strategic counsel to the leadership team, including guiding and prepping on key messages for media engagement
- Maintain and manage a library of communication materials with constant iteration as the product, people and business evolves
- Implement a multi-channel thought leadership program, leveraging Terrascope's network of climate experts, customers, technical leaders and external partners
- Help build a diverse, ambitious, creative, and high-achieving marketing team together with the Terrascope Growth & Marketing Lead
- Work with analysts in the sustainability and ESG categories to help build awareness and salience for Terrascope
**You should have**:
- A seasoned communications manager with 5+ years of experience across agency and in-house enterprise software/technology companies, and comfortable navigating ambiguous, fast-moving, high-pressure situations
- An adept strategist, with extensive experience developing end-to-end communications plans and leading teams in rapidly evolving, technically complex, politically charged markets
- A skilled relationship-builder, with a deep network of media, analyst, industry, partner and influencer connections
- A creative storyteller, with the ability to craft narratives that cut through the noise of crowded markets]
- A global thinker with experience navigating regional differences and tailoring messaging to a broad range of audiences and stakeholders
- Experience in high-growth, fast-paced startup environments with a bias for action and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuff done, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams
- A deep (and a little nerdy?) interest in how software products work, particularly in the climate space, combined with a growth mindset
- Outstanding communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in sourcing, managing and teaming across in-house, external agency and freelance resources
