The APJ DCS team is a world class technical sales organization with a passion to deliver transformational business opportunities and outcomes through deep expertise in data center workloads, disruptive technologies, and differentiated solutions. As The Senior Director for South Asia DCS business you will be responsible for executing our growth strategy across a dynamic region that represents significant growth & LOB expansion potential. You will be responsible for an organisation of approx. 135 headcount specializing in data center solutions and this role requires in depth knowledge of market trends, industry use cases and emerging technology capabilities such that you can define strategies to deliver growth at a premium to the market and meet or exceed the financial objectives of the company as it relates to this region.

You will:

- Require strong sales discipline and commercial acumen combined with operational excellence to ensure you are able to navigate the complexities of multiple different countries with varying levels of maturity.
- The leader needs to understand the financial & operational nuances of both velocity & value oriented businesses across the full range of Dell’s data center portfolio to drive profitable growth and deliver superior customer experiences.

Essential Requirements
- Deep understanding of data center technologies, workloads & use cases as well as market trends related to these technologies
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional sales results and outperform the market
- Focus on performance management and talent development. Ability to attract & retain top talent
- Very strong Operation discipline, financial acumen and ability to “read” the business at a level of depth that supports both strategic planning and in quarter execution

Desirable Requirements
- Proven track record of managing large distributed teams and managing managing a multi-layered organisation (ie: managing managers)
- Successful execution within a matrix organisational structure
- Ability to present internally & externally with high confidence to the most senior levels
