Procurement Specialist

POSITION DESCRIPTION Procurement Specialist - Capital Projects (Procurement, EALP) Purpose (why does the role exist?)

This position is responsible for supporting the Snowy Hydro Procurement Category Manager to obtain the best value for money for capital spend through the effective support & management of procurement programs. The position contributes to the broader procurement activities by supporting continuous improvement, data tracking & management and information lifecycle management.

Key Accountability - Support effective management of capital projects procurement Support the development and ongoing delivery/ management of a comprehensive category management plan for key capital

projects; Develop and manage key documents necessary for the execution of capital projects tenders such as relevant supporting

contracts, tender packs, evaluation tools and records of key supplier communications; Support the effective management of ongoing tenders including maintaining adherence to tender time frames and key tender

deadlines; Support the development and execution of capital works contracts including to ensure adherence to key project timeframes

through the effective management of contract terms negotiations between suppliers and key Snowy Hydro stakeholders; Ensure robust record keeping and information lifecycle management throughout the procurement planning, tender and

contract execution lifecycles, through the development and adherence to standard record keeping protocols; and Support the development and ongoing management of detailed reporting and tools to monitor and report on the project's

pipeline and progress against plans.

Key Accountability - Support the effective management of the Snowy Hydro supplier panel Support effective contract execution through the management of key contract variations and renewals in the lead up to capital

projects contracting requirements; and Review and support the development of the vendor panel to ensure close alignment between the pipeline of upcoming capital

projects and available vendors to support.

Key Accountability - Contribute to the broader procurement teams success Collaborate on implementation of the procurement transformation road map; Ensure initiatives in the transformation roadmap are fit for purpose for Snowy Hydro and the Capital projects pipeline; and Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.

Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement, contract

management, commercial, engineering or project management
- Awareness of commercial and procurement management techniques
- Experience in capital procurement and procurement support for a plus
- Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain value drivers

Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills

that enable strong relationships to be established both internally and externally;
- Ability to collaborate up and down the hierarchy and across work streams. Work effectively in cross functional teams.

Strong communications/report writing skills Strong written & verbal communications High level of attention to detail Experience in contract administration, highly favourable A self-starter with comfort dealing with ambiguity
